How do cancellations, refunds, pardons, and transfers work for Member Nights?

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS 


We know that plans sometimes change.  That’s why we uniquely allow “Early Cancellations” without penalty for Member Nights.

Early Cancellations are defined as follows:

  • Patron members can cancel up to 2 days or 48 hours before the performance

  • Saver members can cancel up to 3 days or 72 hours before the performance

  • All other members have up until 4 days or 96 hours before the performance to cancel without penalty.

Early Cancellations allow us to find someone else who wants that seat, and maintain positive relationships with producers and non-profit companies who get understandably annoyed when tickets aren’t used.  When you cancel early, your processing fee will be refunded in Show-Score Credits, which you can use to buy other things on Show-Score. Importantly, refunds to your credit card or to cash are not allowed.

If you miss the deadlines outlined above, you will be counted as a “Late Cancellation”, and your fees will not be credited or refunded. However, please let us know in advance if you cannot attend because otherwise, you will be counted as a “No Show.” More on this below.  

If you make a Member Night reservation and you don’t show up, you will be counted as a “No Show.”  The participating theatre company sends us a report after each performance so we know if someone does not use his or her tickets.


PARDONS

Both Late Cancellations and No Shows are marked as "Pardons" in your account. Pardons work as follows:

  • You will receive a “pardon” up to your limit of allowed “pardons” for every Late Cancellation and No Show. 

  • Because late cancellations and no-shows have the potential to really hurt the Member Nights program, there is a limit to the number of pardons you can receive before you become ineligible for Member Nights for the next 6-month period. :

    • Patron Members only have 6 Pardons to use in a twelve-month period

    • Saver Members only have 3 Pardons to use in a twelve-month period

    • All other members only have 2 Pardons to use in a twelve-month period


Importantly, the twelve-month period is measured from the date you first became eligible for Member Nights. After you hit your limit, you will not receive Member Night offers for the following six-month period. After this six-month period, you will be eligible again for Member Nights, with 0 pardons used. Your twelve-month period to use your membership level’s pardons will restart on this date.

Members can upgrade membership levels to get more Pardons. When they do, Pardons are not reset to 0; instead the member will receive incremental Pardons based on how many they have so far.  If you want to see how many Pardons you have remaining, please email memberevents@show-score.com.


TRANSFERS

You can change the date of your Member Night reservation as long as the below is true: 

  • It is before the cancellation deadline dictated by your membership level   

  • There are tickets available for another date

Your transfer deadline is determined by your Show-Score level, as listed below: 

  • Patron Members can transfer up to 2 days or 48 hours before the performance without penalty

  • Saver members can transfer up to 3 days or 72 hours before the performance without penalty

  • All other members have up until 4 days or 96 hours before the performance to transfer without penalty
