First, we appeal to a show’s team to not write them. Shill reviews ultimately hurt the show, especially if audiences see a huge gap between what the shill reviewer is saying and the reality of the experience. Once that gap is reported, it’s hard to recover. Second, we include a “report abuse” link on every review, so that the community can help us monitor. Finally, we use technology, since other community-driven review sites have addressed the same concerns.
