When a Show-Score member writes a review, we publish it immediately. We want to give them the satisfaction of seeing their reviews published immediately. At the same time, we make it easy for community members to report reviews they believe do not meet our Community Agreements.
Any Show-Score member can flag a review by clicking the flag icon by each review and giving supporting evidence for their report. Once they do, the review is immediately removed from the site for internal review. Our team then checks the review against our community agreements to see if the abuse report was justified. This process is usually completed within 24-72 hours. The decision as to whether a review meets our guidelines is made at our sole discretion, and all decisions are final.
If we find the review was flagged incorrectly, it will be reinstated, and it will be unable to be flagged in the future.
If the review is deemed created in bad faith, it will remain down.
If the review doesn’t meet our community agreements, but can be fixed with an edit, you have the option to edit your review. Every time you edit your review, our team will get notified and your review will go through our internal review process again.
When a shilling campaign is suspected, the team may require proof that their review complies with our community agreements before reinstating the review. In this circumstance, edited reviews will not be reinstated until the requested proof is provided. This measure is only used in exceptional circumstances and is enforced at Show-Score’s discretion.
We never ask someone to change a score or their opinion about the show. Our focus is on making sure that opinion is honest, clearly stated, and useful to anyone who is thinking about attending that show. We always ask them the same two questions: even if you loved the show, who wouldn't like it? And even if you didn't like it, who would?
You can change your review at any time by pressing "score it" and editing your review.
If a review is edited to meet our guidelines, it will be added back to the site, and will be unable to be flagged in the future.
